Tips
A word of caution: The Island and Northern Lights (Viking) Farm have been designed for players of level 60 or over. Players under this level will find that playing these farms will place a massive drain on their resources and will delay the development of their other farms.
All Levels
As space is at a real premium over here, upgrade your fence and gate to improve your happiness rating and keep your production costs down.
When expanding your farm, stretch over to B1 to get the Oasis of Idleness/Rune Circle deco as soon as you can (135).
Remember to upgrade your farmhouse: This will reduce building time as well as providing extra workers and it doesn't eat up any extra space or reduce your happiness.
Follow the sidebar tasks: For the most part they provide a useful development strategy, and offer some useful rewards as well. Ones to think twice about are the ones that require 5 fields or ask for upgraded animal stables. You really don't need 5 fields, although you can always build now and demolish later to make way for other buildings. Upgrading animal stables gives very little in return.
Do not begin work on high-end goods in the bar/workshop until you have a task that requires them:
If your bar/workshop would otherwise be sitting idle, use it to make Orange Fizz/tunics - oranges/flax are easily acquired whereas ingredients for other goods are usually in short supply.
Fields and orchards are worth the effort and reward of upgrading, stables not so much. Skip those sidebar tasks if money and time aren't available.
No money to buy new space or not enough workers for new building? Demolish one you no longer need. E.g. swap out a field for an orchard.
Sell animals and cocktails/workshop goods as you go so you can afford seeds from the outset.
Buy special seeds and use greenhouse humus to add 25%. You can only get greenhouse humus through the Special Press production machine.
The boat has 4 different levels for fruit. It will show the highest amount you have available. You can (and should) adjust this to a lower setting. You can grow the minimum amount necessary to get the boat out in 30 minutes.
Levels 75 and under
Upgrade your bank to at least level 3 as quickly as possible.
It is unlikely that you will finish the whole 3 chapters unless you spend a massive amount of gold. Aim for Chapter 2, task 2, and then concentrate on making as many Fruity Flips/Helmets as you can.
Levels 75+
Fully upgrade your bank as soon as you can.
