Missions
Even if you hate missions, you can still partake and win points without any great effort on your part. Start up a mission when you log on, go water some trees if it is taking it's time. Remember that you get reputation points even if you don't win. If you happen to catch a crazy gold player then so much the better - you will often get more points for second place against some nut with 45,000 eggs than you would coming first against a smaller player.
Dung/Eggs: These are great if you catch them when you first log on as you will have all your animals ready and will stand a better chance of winning. Even so you'll be harvesting your animals for cash at any rate (3 chicken harvests every 30mins) you may as well get the reputation points for playing whether you win, lose or draw. Fire up your powerhouse tractor if it's available before harvesting as it will increase your cash as well as your dung. These missions pay well in certs and reputation points.
Corn/Flowers: These mission give less rewards than eggs and dung but chances are you will be planting one or the other so you may as well get the points for it.

Happiness
Houses are a necessary feature of gameplay but whilst they add workers, they degrade happiness levels, which pushes up the production costs on your farm. You can offset this by adding happiness. There are several ways to do this:
Ideally you should be aiming to keep your production costs between 80% and 90%.
- Decorations (decos). These can be bought or won throughout the game. These take up valuable space on your farm but create high levels of instant happiness. Low value decos can be replaced by higher value ones as you progress through the game, or can be upgraded after level 50 via the Landscape Designer.
- Upgrade your dog as fast as possible, increased levels give higher happiness ratings.
- Upgrade your fence and gate. This adds happiness without taking up valuable production space.
- Upgrade your Retro Classic tractor in the Garage to add happiness without taking up space.

Hidden Decos
On each farm there are hidden decos in the plots circled below: All you need to do is buy the plot and clear the undergrowth.
